Drive the new BWM R 1300 GS

A completely new motorcycle model has just arrived. BMW has set a milestone with the R 1300 GS. That's what I say after the first short test drive and I'm pleased that I'll be able to report in detail shortly.

Anke and I ordered three new GS 1300s and more will follow next year. You can already ride the first 1300s with us.

I see the motorcycle as a new, impressive work from BMW that will further increase the already great driving pleasure with a GS. With concentrated experience from the GS series and expanded production options, the GS 1300 is now pushing into new dimensions: with almost uncompromising driving dynamics that will surpass everything before.

Gearbox compacter than ever before, directly connected and combined with the crank drive... this now ensures significantly more compact dimensions and thus a reduction in rotating masses. The center of gravity has been optimized and a completely new chassis was necessary and possible for the compact engine.

The engineers had to dig deep into their bag of tricks to combine such a new vehicle with the sportiness and wanderlust that BMW is known for. Also worth mentioning are the new, improved Telelever and the finest electronic control management.

Conclusion:

The R 1300 GS gives us bikers a completely expanded driving experience both off-road and on the road. A completely new motorcycle was created.

We will offer tours with this universal high-tech motorcycle: special GS day tours with extended driver training in the area of ??driving safety off and on road. As always, lots of driving fun and safety. Because that's what GS stands for like no other motorcycle.
